God’s Light

I got to spend a weekend out in God’s beautiful country. Filled with beautiful views of the mountains, trees, completely disconnected from the world. As I looked up into the night sky at the stars shining bright, it reminded me that God shows us every day that he is here through his creation.

The night sky is a testimony of the light of Jesus. For we have the moon that is bright even when it is just a sliver and the stars shine so bright in the night sky when you are away from the city. As I watched the stars multiply last night I was reminded how Gods light will always pierce through the darkness.

No matter how dark the world may seem, the light of God is always there piercing through. You may not see it because of the other lights that are in your way, and you may even believe that the darkness will overcome. But we are always reminded that God’s light is brighter than the darkness will ever be.

The sunrise breaks across the horizon and it is the brilliance of Gods glory shining through. Then as the sun sets we see the darkness come in, but then the stars will start to show themselves, first just a few and then gradually millions of them.

So when you think the darkness is greater just look up and see that God’s light will always pierce through the darkness. Stand on the truth of what God’s word says and watch the darkness disappear as you take back your authority in Christ.
